Paul ‘bear’ Bryant
Paul was
an American college football player and coach. He was best known as the
longtime head coach of university of Alabama football team. He was born in September
11, 1913 in Fordyce, AR. He died January 26, 1983 at age 69. He coach the Alabama crimson tide football
from 1958 to 1982. On his 25-year as a coach he had six national championships
and thirteen conference championships. He held the record for the most win as
head coach in collegiate football history with 323 wins. Paul passed away 28
days after his last game. Paul was the 11th of 12 kids who were born
to Wilson Monroe and Ida Kilgore. He went to Fordyce high school. He began
playing on the school’s football team when he was an eighth grader. During his
senior season, the team, with Bryant playing offensive line and defensive end,
won the 1930 Arkansas
